Strategic planning influences health care organizations because it is the vision for the future and the process of charting steps for the future project. To make the vision a reality you must have financial resources first. “You need financial planning to achieve your strategic objectives, but your strategic objectives also influence your financial strategies”. Gartenstein (2020), Setting short term financial goals and meeting them financial will help began to fund your strategic planning. Health care managers should know how to budget finances for the year and have everything they need in the budget counted for including miscellaneous. Hoping nothing to big comes up that is more than the finances for miscellaneous. I believe that more patients should be educated on their health care, strategic planning could go into a team putting together information on the patients’ health. Classes could be held to make taking care of yourself at home easier. Once the plan is put together and presented the projected can get started on right away with the finances from meeting the monthly goals. RESPOND!!

Managing the inventory can be costly if mistakes are made. We do not want “money sitting on the shelf” (inventory that we do not use, it expires and we need to toss it out). Also, many of us do not have the storage space so we need to maximize the space we have and just get what we need. I know and understand that buying in quantity and volume can save dollars, but if we are not using the product, it can a problem. We need to order only what is in the purchasing agreements as well. If we buy items that are not in the contract, different brands for example, we can pay a great deal of more money than if we just get what is in the contract. There are times when I have wondered about the quality, have taken this up with the people who develop and agree to these contracts and I have also had issues with paying more sometimes on a contract price than if I just got the item from a different location. The problem than becomes one of volume and savings for the organization in the end. It is very important to know what and when you can purchase items when doing inventory. Thanks for sharing
